LaToi Williams Our Secretary Treasurer

My name is LaToi Williams, and I currently work in Administration at the St. Louis VA Medical Center. I began my VA career in 2019 as an LPN in the Women’s Clinic, where I had the privilege of working alongside VA GYN specialists providing care to women veterans. My leadership, professionalism, and administrative skills were soon recognized, leading to my current position in Mental Health Administration.

Before joining the VA, I spent over ten years in Finance with the Belleville News-Democrat Newspaper, a well-known and respected company in Belleville, Illinois. I also served as a Director of Nursing at an Assisted Living Facility in St. Louis for more than five years, where I managed the care of over one hundred residents while overseeing the facility’s budget and finances.

I have been an active member of AFGE Local 96, previously serving on the Budget Committee, where I helped monitor and support the local’s financial operations. My background in both finance and healthcare management has given me a strong foundation in fiscal responsibility, accountability, and strategic oversight.

As Treasurer, my goal is to ensure integrity, fairness, and transparency in all financial matters. I am committed to responsibly managing the union’s finances and maintaining trust through sound budgeting and oversight. To strengthen my skills, I have completed several AFGE finance and budgeting training courses both in person and virtually.
